Should You Catch Up? (A Short Review & Recommendation)

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

Do you need to catch up before the finale? Absolutely.

Why you should watch: This season has been a masterclass in tension. The “Culling Game” arc throws our heroes into a chaotic battle royale where the rules of Jujutsu society are completely rewritten. Director Shōta Goshozono continues to push the boundaries of action animation, delivering some of the most stunning and visceral fight sequences of the year. The expansion of the world and the introduction of a wide array of new, powerful characters have made every episode feel essential.

How to catch up: If you’ve fallen behind, the first 11 episodes are available to stream now on Crunchyroll. The story has been building toward a major confrontation, and the extended runtime for Episode 12 promises a climax that will leave a lasting impact. It’s a near-perfect time to jump back in before the series takes a break ahead of the eventual second part of the Culling Game arc.

Verdict for new viewers: While you could enjoy the animation on its own, starting a series this deep into its story would be a disservice to the complex plot and character development. If you’re new, start from the very beginning with Season 1. For existing fans, you won’t want to miss this finale live.
